Head of Food and Drug Administration: Iran Health Exhibition, a Golden Opportunity for Knowledge-Based Iranian Products

June 8, 2025 – The Head of the Food and Drug Administration emphasized that the presence of Iranian companies and the showcasing of their innovative, knowledge-based products at the Iran Health Exhibition play a vital role in reducing the country’s reliance on foreign currency.

Dr. Mehdi Pirsalehi, Head of the Food and Drug Administration, noted that the Iran Health Exhibition has a long-standing tradition in the health sector. He highlighted that over 580 companies are participating this year, presenting advanced medical equipment and technologies. Pirsalehi expressed optimism that these firms will effectively introduce their products to the medical community and both domestic and international traders, facilitating the expansion of local markets and enabling exports to regional countries.

He stressed that the exhibition’s focus on innovative and knowledge-based products is crucial for decreasing the country’s currency dependency. Pirsalehi further stated that the annual event enables manufacturers to showcase their capabilities, identify competitors, and establish strategic business partnerships.

He also pointed out that the exhibition is an important opportunity for medical professionals and officials to become familiar with high-quality, strictly regulated domestic products, and encouraged the medical community to place their trust in these innovations.
