Afghanistan’s Acting Minister of Public Health Visits Iran Health Exhibition 2025 in Tehran

June 11, 2025 – Mawlavi Noorjalal Jalali, Acting Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, led an official delegation to the 26th Iran Health Exhibition in Tehran, focusing on medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and laboratory equipment.

During the visit, Minister Jalali held talks with Dr. Saeedreza Shahmoradi, Director General of Medical Equipment and Supplies at the Iranian Food and Drug Administration, exploring opportunities for bilateral cooperation in medical device manufacturing, export, and technology transfer.

The Afghan delegation toured various sections of the exhibition, gaining insight into Iran’s latest innovations in health technology—including knowledge-based companies, hospital equipment, advanced pharmaceuticals, and emerging fields such as medical imaging, 3D printing, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. The Minister also engaged with Iranian manufacturers to discuss collaborative opportunities.

Accompanied by Alireza Bikdeli, Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, and Afghan embassy diplomats in Tehran, Minister Jalali praised the exhibition as a symbol of Iran’s self-sufficiency and technological progress under sanctions. He emphasized Afghanistan’s interest in leveraging Iran’s expertise in the localization and production of medical equipment.

Expressing hope for similar exhibitions in Afghanistan in the near future, the Minister called for expanded scientific and commercial exchanges between the two countries. Iran Health Exhibition 2025, with strong domestic and international participation, served as a key platform for showcasing the capacities of Iran’s health industry and advancing regional and international cooperation.
