June 11, 2025 – Iran has achieved significant milestones in the production of advanced blood transfusion equipment, with over 70 percent of the country’s needs—most notably blood bags—now supplied by domestic manufacturers. This self-sufficiency marks a major step forward for Iran’s health industry, as blood bags, the most crucial component in the transfusion process, are not only produced locally but have also entered export markets.

Iran has also made notable progress in developing specialized freezers and irradiation devices, including joint ventures with the Atomic Energy Organization. The active participation of knowledge-based companies at the Iran Health Exhibition underscores the dual impact of the event: it both boosts public confidence in domestic capabilities and creates an environment conducive to investment and support for innovative health sector companies.
