First Iranian Polyurethane Foam for Medical Use to Debut at Iran
Health 2025

For the first time in Iran, polyurethane foam specifically designed for wound exudate management will be unveiled at the 26th Iran Health Exhibition. According to the CEO of a knowledge-based company, this achievement positions Iran among the leading nations in the production of advanced wound care products. Developed by a team of dedicated young Iranian specialists, the product leverages cutting-edge technical knowledge and localized technology to deliver internationally competitive quality.
Previously, many medical centers relied on imported wound foams, resulting in higher treatment costs and limited patient access. With domestic production, the cost has significantly decreased and access has improved for patients across the country—a major breakthrough, especially for those with chronic or complex wounds.
The CEO described the Iran Health Exhibition as a dynamic platform for showcasing the capabilities of Iranian manufacturers and knowledge-based companies. The company aims to present its latest achievements, strengthen networks with health sector representatives nationwide, and expand international cooperation. He emphasized that knowledge exchange between domestic and foreign experts is essential for advancing Iran’s medical industry.
Highlighting the company’s export record, the CEO noted that their products are currently shipped to regional markets such as Iraq, Oman, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Eurasian countries like Russia. With positive feedback from international clients, the company hopes to attract new traders and representatives at the exhibition and enter new markets in Southeast Asia and Africa.
Emphasizing the importance of training and knowledge updates for health professionals, the CEO announced readiness to hold specialized workshops on the proper use of advanced wound foams, aiming to improve patient care and health outcomes nationwide.
