Iran Health 2025: Where Policy, Healthcare, and Investment Converge at the Nation’s Premier Medical Technology Event

June 11, 2025 – The Iran Health Exhibition, recognized as the country’s largest specialized event for healthcare and medical equipment, took place in Tehran from June 8 to 11, 2025. This year’s edition was marked by extraordinary scale and a strong presence of leading political, scientific, and international figures, who visited exhibition booths to directly engage with the sector’s capabilities, achievements, and needs.

From top executive officials to ambassadors from Asia, Africa, and Europe, the exhibition served as a hub for health diplomacy, technological cooperation, and the identification of investment opportunities. The most notable visit occurred on the opening day, when the President of Iran, accompanied by the Minister of Health and the Vice Presidency for Scientific, Technological and Knowledge-Based Economy Affairs, toured various pavilions, focusing particularly on medical innovation and knowledge-based companies. The President emphasized that the development of domestic healthcare technologies is essential to national independence and public welfare, drawing significant media attention and inspiring industry stakeholders.

The Vice Presidency for Scientific, Technological and Knowledge-Based Economy Affairs conducted an in-depth tour of startup and knowledge-based company sections, highlighting the need to strengthen commercialization chains and promising increased support for export development. Key challenges discussed included regulatory processes, access to raw materials, and international market entry.

The Minister of Health and their delegation spent several hours reviewing hospital, imaging, pharmaceutical, and traditional medicine booths. The Minister stressed the importance of improving the quality of domestically produced equipment and standardizing services, stating that Iran Health Exhibition is a unique opportunity for synergy among producers, consumers, and policymakers.

Economic leaders, including the President of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, focused on export-oriented booths and emphasized expanding target markets and leveraging economic diplomacy. There is renewed hope that the health industry will gain a larger share of Iran’s non-oil exports.

International engagement was a highlight, with the Iraqi Prime Minister’s delegation expressing strong interest in sourcing Iranian medical equipment for Iraq’s healthcare sector. Initial agreements were reached for new contracts. Ambassadors from Vietnam, South Korea, and Sudan explored cooperation in technology transfer, equipment procurement, and joint investment, while the Vietnamese ambassador announced readiness for joint health exhibitions. Delegates from Bolivia, Afghanistan, Hungary, Poland, Indonesia, and the UAE also attended, opening new avenues for technical and commercial negotiations.

Notably, international visitors focused on booths featuring advanced innovations such as medical 3D printing, artificial intelligence in healthcare, telemedicine systems, and biopharmaceuticals—demonstrating Iran’s emergence as a serious player in global health through investment in indigenous knowledge.

The 2025 Iran Health Exhibition offered a clear outlook for a dynamic future in the national healthcare industry—one built on international cooperation, technological innovation, and robust government support, setting Iran on the path to health independence and expanded global engagement.
