Iranian Health Minister Stresses Need to Boost Medical Equipment Exports at Iran Health Exhibition 2025

June 8, 2025 – The Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education emphasized the growing international demand for Iranian health products during the opening ceremony of the 26th Iran Health Exhibition. He highlighted the importance of advancing both innovation and quality to strengthen the global competitiveness of domestic manufacturers.
The minister noted that countries across the region and beyond are increasingly interested in Iranian health products, reflecting the nation’s significant achievements in this sector. He stated that Iran now operates at the forefront of medical science and technology and called for greater efforts to expand exports of health-related products, ensuring they meet international standards.
He underlined that maintaining high product quality is essential for sustaining a competitive edge in global markets. The Ministry of Health supports the use of locally produced, high-quality medical equipment in hospitals and encourages domestic manufacturers to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare system.
In addition, the minister announced dedicated budget allocations in IRR and foreign currency to support the purchase of Iranian-made equipment. He reiterated that supporting domestic production remains a top priority for the President and the Ministry of Health.
This year’s Iran Health Exhibition features the participation of 580 companies, demonstrating the sector’s capacity and progress. The minister recalled that, in the past, even basic devices such as ultrasound machines were not produced domestically, but today, many such technologies are manufactured in Iran—a development that deserves recognition.
He concluded by affirming that while production in any field is valuable, its contribution to public health is of the highest importance. The primary goal remains improving the health of the population, with profitability as a secondary consideration.
The 26th Iran Health Exhibition, with 580 domestic and international exhibitors, will continue at the Tehran International Exhibition Center until June 11, 2025.
