Medical Equipment Specialists Association Launches Major Employment Initiative for Biomedical Engineers in 17 Provinces

June 8, 2025 – The Medical Equipment Specialists Association, recognized as the largest professional body in this sector with approximately 5,000 members and active representation across 17 provinces, has launched a comprehensive employment initiative to address the rising unemployment among biomedical engineers in Iran.
According to Dr. Ahmad Moslemi, Chairman of the Board, the association’s primary mission is to empower biomedical engineering graduates, facilitate job creation, and provide career guidance to students entering the field. The association also plays a crucial role in advising medical equipment manufacturers, particularly in obtaining production licenses and identifying technical experts needed for product development.
The association held its provincial annual meeting today during the Iran Health Exhibition (June 8 to 11, 2025), gathering regional representatives to discuss and address local challenges in the medical equipment sector. Practical solutions were proposed, with the central association in Tehran committed to following up on the issues raised.
This initiative highlights the association’s ongoing commitment to workforce development and industry support across Iran’s medical technology landscape.
