National Strength in Healthcare: Iranian Technology Inspires Global Hope

June 11, 2025 – During his visit to the Iran Health Exhibition, Seyed Sajjad Razavi, Deputy Minister of Health for Treatment, highlighted the significant presence of knowledge-based companies and Iranian medical equipment manufacturers, emphasizing that Iran has made major strides toward self-sufficiency, innovation, and export in the healthcare sector.

Razavi underscored the essential role of advanced technology in modern treatment, noting that speed, precision, and quality in healthcare are all dependent on state-of-the-art equipment. While skilled human resources remain fundamental, medical equipment plays a decisive part in the treatment process.

Expressing satisfaction with the high quality of domestic production, Razavi stated that many companies have shown remarkable growth compared to previous years, with some now active in export markets. He noted that Iran has shifted from being a consumer to a competitive producer on the global stage.

Recalling earlier years when certain medical equipment was imported by travelers in suitcases, Razavi pointed out that the same tools are now manufactured domestically to much higher standards, marking a true and impressive advancement.

Looking ahead, the Deputy Minister identified increasing the share of Iranian equipment in national healthcare and reducing reliance on imports as key priorities. He stressed that a significant portion of local equipment now meets international standards, and with proper support and healthy competition, most of the country’s needs could be fulfilled domestically.

Razavi also highlighted the crucial role of media in showcasing these achievements. He emphasized that without publicizing progress, advancements remain overlooked; media can inspire hope, build trust among physicians, and draw global attention to Iran’s scientific capabilities.

He further noted the return of many elite professionals from abroad, observing that numerous companies are led by talented individuals who have come back to Iran. Razavi concluded that continued support for this reverse migration can harness these minds for the nation’s development.
