June 5, 2025 – The Iran Health Exhibition, scheduled for June 8 to 11, will witness a strong participation from knowledge-based companies active in the medical equipment sector. According to the Medical Equipment Advisor to the Health Commission of the Parliament and the Director General of Medical Equipment in South Khorasan Province, the dynamic presence and innovative approaches of these companies at the nation’s largest medical equipment event mark a pivotal step for industry advancement.

He emphasized that domestic manufacturers not only unveil new products but also significantly contribute to public health. The close link between the medical field and the medical equipment industry highlights the importance of showcasing the latest achievements during the exhibition.

Due to sanctions and restrictions in international markets, importing medical equipment has become increasingly challenging. However, this situation has turned into an opportunity, as demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic when local manufacturers effectively met national demand for respiratory devices, while even some leading countries faced shortages.

The advisor underscored the necessity of supporting domestic production, urging that industry policies prioritize local manufacturing over imports. He noted that there is a significant pool of capable professionals in this sector who require strategic backing to further enhance Iran’s medical equipment industry.
