Treatment of Diabetic Wounds with Iranian Technology

June 10, 2025 – Atrin Marham, an Iranian company specializing in innovative wound care products, has developed a technology-based solution for treating various types of wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure sores, post-surgical wounds, and both acute and chronic wounds. This product, developed in collaboration with academic centers, is the first of its kind produced in Iran.

A key feature of this wound care product is its active oxygen compound, which not only prevents infections but also reduces unpleasant wound odor and accelerates tissue healing through its anti-inflammatory effects. The product also contains a powerful disinfectant, enhancing its ability to prevent infections—a critical aspect in diabetic wound care, where infection can lead to severe complications such as inflammation or even amputation.

Utilizing ozone technology, the product significantly lowers the risk of wound infection. Clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy: wounds that typically required 30 to 45 days to heal were completely treated within 15 to 19 days using this product.

While Atrin Marham has not yet completed all knowledge-based registration procedures, initial regulatory approvals have been secured. The company is currently in the evaluation stage for commercialization and aims to expand its presence in the market soon.
