Mohammad Mehdi Alaeeddin, Deputy Technical Director of the General\nDirectorate of Medical Equipment, announced at the second press conference for\nthe 26th International Iran Health Exhibition that a significant portion of the\nevent is dedicated to domestic production and technology-driven companies. This\nyear, Iran Health, the country\u2019s largest medical equipment event, hosts 1,442\ndomestic manufacturers offering 1,811 locally produced items.<\/p>

Alaeeddin highlighted the launch of the National Support Dashboard\nfor Domestic Production as a key innovation of this edition. Designed as a\ncomprehensive roadmap for manufacturers and investors, the dashboard aims to\nincrease transparency, streamline production processes, reduce costs, and\naddress barriers. It will be dynamically updated to reflect industry\ndevelopments and will be accessible to all sector stakeholders.<\/p>

He noted that, in line with the Seventh Development Plan, the goal\nis to boost Iran\u2019s medical equipment exports to $1 billion through cooperation\nbetween the Food and Drug Administration, the Vice Presidency for Science and\nTechnology, and the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade.<\/p>

Throughout the exhibition, the Food and Drug Administration\u2019s\nservice desk will be available to assist manufacturers and exporters with\nregulatory issues, accelerating the licensing process. These services are\nintended to facilitate production and support Iranian entrepreneurs and\nbusinesses.<\/p>

Alaeeddin also pointed to specialized sessions focused on hospital\nequipment and domestic production challenges, providing a forum for knowledge\nexchange, market needs assessment, and fostering opportunities for joint\ncollaboration.<\/p>

He stated that 70% of the domestic market demand for medical\nequipment is currently met by Iranian products, though this accounts for 31% of\nthe market in terms of value.
