June 8, 2025 \u2013 The Chairman of the Iranian Syndicate of Medical Equipment\nExporter emphasized that keeping Knowledge-Based Elites in the country requires\nmore than slogans\u2014it demands real support for their achievements. Speaking at\nthe opening of the 26th Iran Health Exhibition, he noted that many innovators\nin the medical equipment sector have sold personal assets, such as their homes,\nto bring indigenized products to market. Without practical support and purchase\nof these high-value achievements, retaining top talent in Iran will not be\npossible.<\/span><\/p>

He highlighted the relentless efforts of small and medium-sized\ncompanies, many of which have mortgaged their properties to develop and\nshowcase their products at the Iran Health Exhibition. The presence of\nofficials and decision-makers at these booths can provide crucial\nencouragement. He urged that, even if the Minister is unavailable, deputies\nshould dedicate attention to medical equipment, not just pharmaceuticals.<\/span><\/p>

According to the head of the syndicate, several devices produced by small\ndomestic companies are already competitive with international counterparts, but\nsustaining this level of innovation requires ongoing research and consistent\nsupport. He stated, \u201cProduction is a battlefield, not just a competition. To\nretain Knowledge-Based Elites, investment is necessary\u2014not just promises and\nslogans, but real purchases of their outcomes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

He also expressed concern over slow government procurement processes,\nnoting that decision-making delays place significant pressure on local\ninnovators. If better opportunities arise abroad, the risk of losing elite\ntalent increases. He called for allocating budgets directly to support domestic\nachievements and for recognizing the critical role of advanced medical\nequipment, especially as Iran\u2019s population ages and the need for modern\nhospital beds and equipment grows.<\/span><\/p>

The 26th Iran Health Exhibition, featuring a significant presence from\ndomestic and international companies, is being held at the Tehran International\nExhibition Center from June 8 to 11, 2025.<\/span><\/p>
