Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Revives Medical Equipment<\/span><\/p><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

June 8, 2025 \u2013 Vista Tajhiz Ehya, the first and only Iranian Small &\nmedium-sized knowledge-based company (SME) specializing in the restoration and\nrefurbishment of medical equipment, is unlocking new value in the country\u2019s\nhealthcare sector. According to CEO Mohammad Moeid Malekzadeh, the company was\nfounded amid sanctions with the goal of maximizing utilization and efficiency\nfrom underused or idle medical devices in hospitals.<\/span><\/p>

Vista Tajhiz Ehya restores medical equipment to a near-factory state and,\nin many cases, upgrades older units\u2014such as replacing outdated ultrasound or\nechocardiography monitors with modern, advanced screens. This process is 50% to\n80% less expensive than purchasing new devices, making it a highly\ncost-effective and attractive solution for healthcare providers.<\/span><\/p>

To date, nearly 1,000 medical devices have been restored and returned to\nservice, generating an estimated\n20millioninforeigncurrencysavingsforIran.Thecompanyestimatesthedomesticmarketpotentialinthissectorcouldreach20\nmillion in foreign currency savings for Iran. The company estimates the\ndomestic market potential in this sector could reach 1 billion. However,\nMalekzadeh highlighted ongoing challenges, including delayed payments from\npublic hospitals, which have forced the company to reduce its services to state\ninstitutions from 97% to 47% over the past year, shifting focus to the private\nsector. If payment issues persist, services to public hospitals may drop to\njust 20%.<\/span><\/p>

Restoring medical equipment is a global high-tech industry, and even\ncountries not under sanctions benefit from this approach. Vista Tajhiz Ehya is\nnegotiating international contracts, with final agreements in place to\nrefurbish dialysis machines for Russia annually and plans to expand services to\nother devices and countries, including Iraq and Belarus. While the company\nfaces no regional competitors in the Middle East, it competes globally with\nmajor firms exporting refurbished equipment to Africa from Europe and North\nAmerica.<\/span><\/p>
