Iranian Artificial Intelligence Breakthrough: Avax AI Diagnoses Cancer with Over 93% Accuracy<\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

June 9, 2025 \u2013 The Avax AI system,\ndeveloped by knowledge-based company Med Fanavaran Plus, is ushering in a new\nera for medical diagnostics in Iran. Specializing in medical image analysis, Avax\nAI delivers cancer detection and tumor characterization with an accuracy\nexceeding 93 percent. The project represents six years of intensive research\nand a $4 million investment.<\/span><\/p>

According to CEO Taghipour, Avax AI\noperates much like ChatGPT, but is purpose-built for the interpretation of\nmedical images. The system can accurately determine cancer stages,\ndifferentiate between benign and malignant tumors, and analyze cardiovascular\nimages with advanced artificial intelligence algorithms. So far, Avax AI has\nprocessed over 20,000 breast images for cancer detection, continually learning\nand improving its diagnostic performance.<\/span><\/p>

The platform also features a secure,\nproprietary cloud capable of storing medical data for up to five years,\nsupporting direct integration with new ultrasound devices. Taghipour noted that\nthe company is advocating for the retirement of outdated ultrasound printers in\nfavor of seamless data transfer to the Avax AI cloud\u2014enhancing both data\nsecurity and diagnostic quality.<\/span><\/p>

In addition to advancing AI\ndiagnostics, Med Fanavaran Plus has contributed to the localization of medical\nequipment. Before 2017, Iran spent nearly\n62millionannuallyonultrasoundimports.Today,over500advanced,triple\u2212probeultrasounddeviceshavebeendistributednationwide,eachpricedbelow62\nmillion annually on ultrasound imports. Today, over 500 advanced, triple-probe\nultrasound devices have been distributed nationwide, each priced below\n12,000\u2014less than the cost of a single imported probe.<\/span><\/p>
