June 10, 2025 \u2013 Researchers in the field of assistive\ntechnologies emphasized the urgent need to review and innovate the service\ndelivery models for veterans and people with disabilities during the \u201cLife\nReinvention\u201d event. They called for a forward-looking and innovative management\napproach, enabling the Martyrs Foundation to lead transformative changes in\nassistive technologies and to prevent potential future crises.<\/p>

Elaheh Faraji, the project manager of \u201cAssistive\nTechnologies with a Foresight Approach\u201d at the Research Institute of\nEngineering and Medical Sciences for Veterans, explained that this qualitative\nstudy was conducted over two years with the participation of experts and\nthought leaders in assistive technology. The research examined the current\nmodel of assistive technology provision within the Martyrs Foundation and\nstressed the necessity for adopting innovative strategies. Without such\nchanges, the foundation is likely to face significant challenges in the future.<\/p>

Faraji noted that innovation should not be limited to\nproducts, but must extend to procurement, distribution, service delivery, and\ndemand-side processes. She highlighted that as a government entity, the Martyrs\nFoundation requires a new management perspective, focusing on system-wide\nimprovements rather than just product-oriented solutions.<\/p>

With the rapid evolution of technology and the\nassistive technology industry, service delivery models must be updated\naccordingly. Faraji emphasized the importance of a foresight\napproach\u2014anticipating future developments and preparing now to address them.\nShe compared this need to energy imbalance forecasting, suggesting that\nproactive planning today will prevent crises in the next decade.<\/p>

This forward-thinking strategy, she concluded, is\nessential to ensure resilient, inclusive, and innovative support systems for\nveterans and people with disabilities in the years ahead.<\/p>
